Edward Clement Novellen-Aldersberg (18th of Malins Welcome, 18XX – Present) was the firstborn son of the Prince George Alexander Novellen and his wife Juliya of Susa, being named the 3rd and Count of Aldersberg at the age of twenty-seven after his fathers sudden demise. Wilhelm grew up alongside 4 siblings appropriately named Georgiana Maria, Elisabeth Helaine, Joseph Maximillian, and Eleanor Christina.

Childhood

Court Appearance

As a child, Edward Clement would most be kept away from the main city of Providence for many years, being hid at the estate of Aldersberg within the Arentania region by his mother Juliya who refused to display her children before the public at such young ages. For that reason the young heir would learn to play by himself and develop rather unusual habits, most noted by the Augustine Courtiers was his tendency to watch the roses grow, and count them nightly, logging how many had sprouted overnight. For fun, him and his sister Georgiana Maria would put on miniature plays within their home theater for their stuffed toys, though with his sisters sickly nature the young heir found himself alone most of the time, the young comital heir being ward to no one in his youth.

He often shared a close bond with his Aunt, Princess Charlotte Augusta who would oftentimes shower the lone boy with the affection he so needed, being a more motherly figure than he could find in his own mother, Juliya. In the same regard, the young Edward took highly to his Grandfather, the Prince Joseph Leopold Novellen who would often remind Edward of his higher status than others, descending a line of Emperors, and then Princes. Edward was seldom spotted among the courts until the dethronement of his Great-Uncle, Philip Augustus and subsequent removal of his Aunt from court and Aldersberg following the death of her husband. It was then that Edward would understand the fragile position his family would find themselves in, with no longer a member in line to be Empress, and Edwards father George doing little to nothing for the Aldersbergian group. With that Edward would begin more so frequenting the courts, taking up acting as a hobby and securing the lead in the play 'To The End', directed by the new Empress Anastasia.

Marriage

At the age at 29, the Count would announce his new engagement to Anne of Sunholdt. Seeing as the two were seldom seen with one another before their engagement it is assumed the marriage would be an arrangement agreed upon between the two. With Anne's high standing at court and ducal lineage she would make a perfect bride for the prestigious Aldersberg family, and a fine Countess. After the announcement of their intention to wed, Edward and Anne would seem to become attached at the hip, seen side-by-side at many events and court appearances, a duo for the world to see. A year or so into the marriage after several complications the two would finally have their first child, naming him Alexander Leopold after both Edward's father and grandfather.
