Edvard Thorsson Ruric, also known as Edvard 'the Terrible' for his actions in engaging in an unwinnable war with the Holy Orenian Empire. He was the firstborn son of Thoromir Ruricsson Armahnk and the founder of the Edvardsson branch of the Rurikkid Clans. He became King of Norland after his father died by the decision of the Kingsmoot, and was succeeded by his younger brother Eirik Thorsson Ruric.

Appearance
Edvard had long black hair. His eyes were dark blue and his skin paler than most. He often wore typical Highlandic garb to defend against the harsh Northern weather and a golden band around his head to denote his status as King of Norland.
Family
The Clan of Edvardsson trace their progenitor to Edvard. Edvard had one son out of wedlock however he took care of his son and raised him; though he was often wrathful and cruel to his son and the women he lay with.
Legacy
Edvard is remembered as an arrogant and foolish King of Norland, casting his Kingdom and people into wars they could not win and wrought near-total destruction for his kinsmen.
