The Cloud Temple of Athera.

The Cloud Temple of Athera was the sanctuary of the Wilven Sanctuary Monks as well as the central hub of the entire realm. Located on an island geographically in the middle of Athera, new souls began their journey here and departed to locations abroad. The main road leading out of the Cloud Temple, named the Stone Road, lead to all of the major capital cities of the realm, reminiscent of the King's Road in Aegis. It should be noted that due to the monk's magic no evil deeds could be conducted within the Cloud Temple grounds, no matter the circumstance.

Farms

The area surrounding the temple itself contained farms which provided grain to produce bread. The monks always kept bread in stock so weary travelers could replenish their supplies when passing through.

Tavern

The monks also owned a tavern in the temple area known as the 'Drunken Monk'. Many people would spend time eating, drinking, and socialising within the tavern's welcoming environment. Even though the tavern was owned by the monks, it was managed by non-monks. The most common bartenders were not monks, and most of the workers weren't either. Additionally, the main bartenders and workers were commonly trained in the art of Alchemy, some of the bartenders being Master Alchemists. Below the tavern was an alchemy lab, where many of the drinks were made through the use of ingredients and regents, and some other potions as well. Being in the cloud temple grounds, no poisons or harmful potions would cause damage to the drinkers, therefore there was no worry of being poisoned. Although poisons and combat-based potions were made within the lab, most of the potions made were healing based and focused on assisting others. The Drunken Monk Tavern became a crucial location for where Alchemy could be learnt and taught.

Festival Area

A festival area was constructed within the temple grounds, although it was sparingly used. Descendants of the time can only recall perhaps one event that ever took place there.

The Monks

The monks connected to the Triumvirate were given blessings to use great healing magic to help fallen and injured travelers. Temple monks tasked themselves under the crypts of the ruins where they drew souls from the planes of neutrality and were tasked to revive them back to a mortal being to where they'll be greeted by the monks themselves. The monks were also tasked with maintaining the temple and a small library within.
