Princess Charlotte Sophia of Alstion, sometimes known as Charlotte of Alstion, was born an Imperial Princess of Oren as the only daughter of John III, Holy Orenian Emperor, and Julia of Furnestock. By marriage to John d’Amaury, she was the Archduchess of Lorraine, turned Queen of Lotharingia. Known as Charlotte Sophia from birth, she often expressed her dislike of the name and later in her life even formerly changed her name to Charlotte Marie.
