The Siege of Southbridge was a decisive siege battle that occurred during the Urguani-Orenian War that saw the Tripartite Accord besiege and storm the Castle of Southbridge.
Prelude
The Tripartite Accord had previously drafted up plans to invade the Holy Orenian Empire after having already won many decisive battles against the Orenians. As a result, the combined Tripartite armies of Urguan, Haense, The Ferrymen, and many of Urguan's Vassal-States marched north to establish a siege camp at the castle of Southbridge. Southbridge was a very strategically important location, as it was the major entry point into the Holy Orenian Empire. Controlling Southbridge meant controlling trade and movement into Oren, and so to the Tripartite leadership it was crucial that the Castle be taken. Oren also understood the importance of holding the Castle, and had established a large garrison of 8,600 Imperial State Soldiers within Southbridge to repel any attempted assault.
