Earl Alvar Freysson Ruric also known as Alvar I (19th of Suns Smile, 1694 – Present) born second oldest to Braedyn Ruric, is the Fourth reigning Earl of Nordengrad from the years 1711 to present. He aquired power by vassalizing a large group of Vilachian Citizens under the Empire of Man, many considered this decision to be an act of cowardice, whilst others an act of bravery.

As Earl of Nordengrad
Alvar having just recently vassalized under the Empire of Man, quickly took up matters of state with the intent of reforming the Norlandic people, having his scribes write a list of laws that all citizens within Nordengradic region must abide by. During the first year of his reign Dunharrow flourished having never seen a lack of people within the confinements of the city.
