Adalene Halcourt nee de Motte (1783-1838) was born to Jeanne O'Rourke nee de Motte out of wedlock to the at-the-time Baron of Woldzmir and one day Count of Dobrov, Ostromir Tuvyic. She would grow up most of her life in harsh conditions under her mother in a cramped apartment, hidden away from the world until the death of her mother, in which she would journey to Almaris and begin making friends rather quickly, including the Countess of Dobrov who would unknowingly be her own step-mother, Aimee Tuvyic nee de Frand. During her time in the party scene of Oren, Adalene would meet the Baron of Halcourt, and quickly be made into his Baroness with little to no knowledge of the nobility or court system.
Marriage
After a proposal from the Baron of Halcourt, the two would remain merely engaged for some time before finally hosting a private ceremony between the two. Adalene and Olivier's relationship would prove to be rather dull for most of the marriage, though the Baroness would certainly enjoy the perks that came with being married to a Baron, and the Chief Justice to the Supreme Court of Oren. She would designate herself a 'Trophy Wife', appearing at many of her husbands court cases from the stands in finely made gowns, acting as if she thought she were above the rest. Adalene would have made dear friends with the Countess of Dobrov before her marriage, and soon falling into a spiral of drug use and disappearing from the public eye for long periods of time, unseen until resurfacing, looking perfectly presentable though she fell into the habits upon many occasions. Though after some time the Aeldin girl would come to see her husband as not only the source of her income, and status among the courts, but as a friend of hers as well, sharing deep conversations with him. Though the marriage itself would remain completely platonic, the two sharing different rooms within the estate.
Hanseni Affairs
Before Adalene's Marriage to the Baron of Halcourt, there were two other perspective suitors she had met during her trips to Haense. Igor Kort, the lord speaker of the Hanseni Duma, and Aleksandr Vyronov, a Hanseni Nobleman. After it had been decided she would marry her husband, the Baroness would often make trips to Haense, catching up with the friends she had made. During the height of tension between Haense and Oren, the Baroness would invite her then-lover and lord speaker of Haense, Igor Kort, to her home in Oren for tea. Upon the discovery that Adalene's family was home, she would introduce him as her friend she'd just met. During the tea, Igor and the Baroness' Husband and Children would speak to the Hanseni Counselor about the desire for peace between the two nations. Later in life Adalene would credit herself indirectly for the peace that was kept between Haense and Oren during the Norlandic War. From these visits to Haense, Adalene would end up with two children, one from each of the men she had almost been wed to.
