Remus Godfrey Horen, regally known as Godfrey III (1700 - present day) is the current and first Emperor of Renatus upon the dissolution of the Empire of Man by Antonius I. His rise to power is notable due to the fact that it was soon followed by the 'War of the Two Emperors.
Biography
Early Life
The Emperor spent the majority of his childhood, initially, within the walls of Curon. The youth was notably absent from the courts of the Rubrummagnus, Helena. Due to this, his ascendance to Emperor came as a surprise to many within the city, though he attained the backing of the Imperial Privy.
Reign
Godfrey assumed position as the Imperator of Renatus 1715 on the 4th of Horen’s Calling. his ascension to the throne was in an unstable period of humanity as Joseph Marna rallied Haeseni, Adrian, and Curonian forces with the intention of rebellion against the Renatian crown. The sudden ascension of the adolescent to the throne spurred the plot forward, officially sparking The War of the Two Emperors.
Godfrey had opted to not assume the title of Emperor of Man; rather, he chose to be declared the Emperor of Renatus due to the divisions between human states. The War of the Two Emperors was one of the largest conflicts in recent history and was the primary concern for Godfrey and his council.
