Subsequently, in early 1837, she was legitimized by King Henrik II and her bastardom was completely erased by her parent's wedding in early 1848. At the age of 10, she was betrothed to Prince Andrik Nikolas, second in line to the throne of Hanseti and Ruska at this time. The pair were married in 1846 and parented two children.

Marriage
Nikoleta's betrothal to Prince Andrik of Akovia became solidified on her tenth birthday, albeit the pair had been certain to marry even without the help of the Haense crown according to Queen Annika of Reza. In conjunction with her betrothment, she became legitimized under the designation Bihar-Kovachev. Recognizing that her mother and father were unmarried, she took part of each last name.
The pair were first introduced with the aid of Nikoleta's mentor, Knight Paramount Karl, and Andrik appeared absolutely entranced via Nikoleta and her brash behavior. On the contrary, she thought of Prince Andrik as an abnormal-looking boy. Confiding in her closest friend, Princess Anastasya, that he was "a dumb boy without a manners". Although as time surpassed she and Prince Andrik grew near, growing deeply in love with one another. An ideal match by the time they were walking down the aisle.
The pair had been finally wed on the sixteenth of Tov and Yermey, 1844 - some weeks after each had turned twenty. They married within Saint Henrik’s Basilica inside the city of Karosgrad in front of 40,000 attendees. A small banquet was held after to commemorate the match and the celebrations were over. Nikoleta wore an identical gown with her Fiance Andrik, made by means of Maisie d'Arkent, niece to the Orenian tailor Mary of Sunholdt. Each outfit was the product of stunning white silks and golden embroidery, complete with crimson sashes and yellow capes. The colors were to symbolize Kovachev and Barbanov. Upon the Kovachev's hair laid a golden Kokoshnik referred to as A Crow's Fortune.
Without delay, she was moved into the side apartments inside the Nikirala Prikaz along with her Husband and titled Duchess-Consort of Akovia.
