Alabaster Leaf is a herbaceous plant distinguished by its alabaster color. It is found in dry, forested areas near decaying wood, and is used as a dye or as a mild nauseant.
Description
Alabaster Leaf resembles dock leaves, with slightly wavy, oval leaves. The leaves also contain pigments producing the signature alabaster color of this plant, making them the plant's most valuable part.
Habitat and distribution
Alabaster Leaf is widely distributed in dry, forested areas such as taigas. Currently, it can be found by the East Hub road, particularly on tree stumps near the road to Elvenesse.
Harvesting
Harvesting methods strive to preserve the leaves of the plant. Harvesters generally collect the entire plant, including the roots, and carefully snip the leaves off where they connect with the stem.
Cultivating
When planted in a 1x1 block space among decaying wood, such as on a felled tree or in a mix of sawdust and soil, given a dry climate, and exposed to sunlight, Alabaster Leaf spreads once per three OOC days.
Uses
Alabaster Leaf is primarily harvested to produce dye. The crushed leaves produce an alabaster paste, which can be turned into paint.
When ingested, the plant evokes dizziness and mild nausea for ten minutes.
