King's Ivy is a delicate flower found mostly growing in ancient ruins around the world. It's named originates from it's royal look, with delicate golden petals protecting an almost gem looking center. In full bloom this flower almost seems to shine bright like a small star. This flower is very useful for adventurers due to it's effects. Some myths even tell of King's Ivy's growing where royal families used to live, so they can mark a place of royal tombstone. While some adventurers claim that this myths are true, it is still uncertain.

Description

An ivy with a dark green stalk and light green, large arrow-shaped leaves. It grows soft, golden flowers. The size varies, but it will continue to spread over as much surface as possible while it is healthy.

Habitat and distribution

Grows well in temperate, subtropical, subarctic regions, but rarely spreads beyond. It is found spreading over large rocks, tree-trunks, or ruins.

Harvesting

The flowers of the plant hold the desired properties, and can be easily plucked

Cultivation

It can be farmed in well-watered conditions adjacent to a wall, to allow the ivy to climb it.

Uses

The flowers contain a unique, powerful caffeine-like substance, which can be used to create a syrup or tincture and imbibed, or gentler when brewed into tea and drunk.

Alchemical

Symbol(s): Strength x3 Sound x3 Courage x1 Agility x2

Culinary

The tea made from King’s Ivy has a similar intensity as coffee. The syrup/tincture causes powerful bursts of energy, but causes agitation and can raise the heart-rate significantly. Excessive use can lead to cardiac symptoms like arrhythmia, and can aggravate existing conditions. After the effects are over, a crash of energy will result.
