Adrian var Josip Sarkozic, also known as Adrian I, (, 1699 - Present), of the House of Sarkozic, and was third Emperor of the Eighth Empire, following the abdication of John VII in the year of 1725.

Early Life

Adrian was born to Josip Sarkozic in the city of Ves being the eldest bastard son of Josip Sarkozic and was known as an Orel. Growing up he didn't have his father around though he was mostly tutored and raised by his great uncle, Edgar Sarkozic, along with his younger brothers Peter and Henry. When the War of the Two Emperors broke out he had become quite disgusted by the Empire of Renatus attempting to undermine the authority of the current High Pontiff, Everard V, to which he'd begin to take action using the remainder of his family's wealth in hiring himself mercenaries to aid Joseph in his war.

Upon gaining a military force he would then begin to train them into becoming a formidable force to which he'd later partake in the Siege of Helena being under the command of Count Conrad of Leuven. After suffering a defeat at Helena his new homeland, Leuven, would become the main battlegrounds of the war to which led towards many skirmishes and engagements in the area to which Adrian would quickly become a capable commander for his company who were part of the front line of defense at Leuven. As he had shown his capabilities of being a leader it would result in the formation of the Sarkozic company with the mercenaries who had then sworn to serve under him and his family.

After months of fighting, he'd later be captured being brought to the Emperor of Renatus himself being demanded to bend the knee to which he would refuse. Thusly would result in him losing his right forearm and being thrown in prison for ransom. Adrian would then be ransomed by a wealthy Curonian merchant, who was quite sympathetic to the Marnan cause to which he'd then be nursed back to health by the Curonian merchant. A month into his stay, the Kingdom of Curonia would later defect to the Pertinaxi side to which would lead to his departure in order to regroup with his company. Few more years would pass with the War of the Two Emperors officially coming to an end, Adrian would have then returned to Ves until his unexpected summoning by the new Emperor, John VII. His arrival at the city of Helena resulted in his and his younger brothers legitimization as a Sarkozic and gaining the title of Baron of Renzfeld becoming a vassal of the Holy Orenian Empire.
