Ascension to Nobility

The Winburgh family was granted the title of Baron in the year 182 S.A in a court held within the Duchy of Blackworth. During which, Henry Arthur, Duke of Blackworth praised Sir Magnus Winburgh for his services to himself and the Duchy. The Duke then bestowed the Blackworthian Knight with the title "Baron of the Isles" and furthermore charging him with stewardship of the three principle islands off the Ravenmirian coast - St. Alexander, the largest and the one which would serve as the Baron's capital, the Isle of Bl. Frederick, and the Isle of Ex. Godfrey.

Furthermore, upon the death of Sir Illatius of Blackworth, who had been the patron Knight of Sir Magnus' son Gaspard Winburgh, Duke Henry took it upon himself to be the boy's patron himself. Thus, Gaspard Winburgh became the personal squire of the Duke.
