Select Succession was the process by which the Dictator of Gladewynn (see: King of Gladewynn) selected the Prince of the Alders, the heir to the multi-conglomerate monarchy of Gladewynn. It is a common Elven practice for selecting a successor in the absence of democracy, republicanism, or inherited succession.
