Early Life
Wilhelm Karl Devereux was born to Alfred I of Curon and Linette I on the 4th of the Grand Harvest, 1654, within the Principality of Curon. His very early childhood consisted of that common to a boy of his royal birth, being heavily focused on studies of history and politics, as well as a strong foundation of combat training.
However when he was the mere age of four, his father Alfred I was found mauled to death within the Czena Forest. The Prince had been ambushed by a horde of undead whilst on a leisurely hunting trip, with Alfred fending them off in order for his squire to escape to tell the tale. This was an extremely tragic event, and the prince's death was mourned by the entirety of the principality. Linette then went on to officially declare herself Princess-Regnant, a move that was met by much controversy from the citizenry, as well the further population and political entities of Atlas.
Due to this heavy criticism, Linette abdicated the throne in 1661, the Principality soon being overtaken by the Margrave of Ostmark. From there, Wilhelm led a secluded childhood, the boy being raised by a multitude of people. He officially made his return in 1684, reforming the former principality as a County under the Empire of Man.
