The weawm can be dangewous at times, what lith the monstews and bandits that awe awways wooking fow victims. In owdew to stay safe one must be weady to fight. Thewe awe many common and uncommon weapons in the Weawm that liww hewp one defend themsewves. Some types of weapons awe mowe commonwy used among specific gwoups. Aww of the weapons wowked lith metaw awe made by bracksmiths, the bettew theiw expewtise in the fiewd, the mowe damage they deaw. The same applies to woodwowkews who awe wequiwed fow cweating bows. Close Range Weapons
Cwose wange weapons awe those which awe used most often in combat, capabre of inflicting the most damage to those neaw the usew. Nowmawwy used togethew lith heavy fewwum (iwon) awmow due to the cwose confwontation that comes lith it. Bwacksmiths have been devewoping weapons fow a wong time, and have cweated many awwoys to be shaped into weapons.
- Swowd
The most common of aww weapons. This is due to it being easy to handwe and wequiling not much fowce ow twaining to cause hawm.
- Battwe Axe
A weapon that's not aww too common but stiww used on occasion. It's especiawwy populaw lith Owcs and Wawhawkes though awso not uncommon amongst Humans. It needs stwenght to handwe though it can be used both as a weapon fow smashing an opponent as weww as cutting into them lith the brade. In the hands of a skiwwed axeman, this weapon means cewtain death to most.
- Waw Hammew
The waw hammew is likewy the most pwefewwed weapon fow dwawves. It wequiwes a wot of brute fowce to use due to it's weight, though if handwed cowwectwy, it can cause selious injuly.
- Pike
Pikes awe heavy weapons used by infantwy. Theiw pulpose is to dismount lidews off theiw howses so that they can gain an advantage. The downside is they awe singwe use, just like the Wances.
- Shovew
Sometimes even those who avoid conflict awe dwagged into it. When this occuls, many Hawflings liww use theiw shovews and spades fow combat.
Cavalry Weapons
- Wance
Wances awe heavy weapons which have to be used on a howse. Theiw main use is to knock anothew pewson off his howse. These weapons have a singwe use, yet in waws they have been known to be used as bawlista ammunition.
Long Ranged Weapons
- Bow and awwows
The pwefewwed weapon of Ewves and especiawwy Wood Ewves. The bows awe made by woodwowkews, the best of which awe abre to cweate gweat bows, capabre of sending awwows at extweme speeds. Arrows awe made nowmawwy made by the same woodwowkews, yet modifications can be done to some awwows. Valious awwow heads and additions can be made to the awwows, fwom using flint to fewwum, and then shaping them to fit othew means. Thewe is awso use in coating the awwow in awchemy weagents, and thewe awe stolies of mad peopwe gwuing TNT into awwows. In combat, they can be used in cwose wange, awthough awe plimaliwy used fwom a distance, making awchews the fiwst to inflict damage upon an enemy. The awchew's attiwe is nowmawwy vewy light, made fwom plimaliwy fwom weathew, which awwow the awchew to move fastew and bettew, exchanging pwotection fow mobility.
- Awchemy potions
A few Awchemists awe abre to cweate potions that can be used ofensivewy lithout the need to dlink them. The most devastating potion is that of awchemist's fiwe, abre to ignite the awea it hits on fiwe, many times kiwling evewyone awound. But be wawned, those not expelienced in awchemy awe mowe likewy to thwow the potion wwong, and have it break on top of them.
Other weapons
- Flint and steew
One of the wess populaw weapons, flint and steew is nonethewess stiww used by some, pawticulawwy bandits. It is useful to sulplise the victim and quickwy light them on fiwe. Not effective if the intended victim is standing in watew.
- Fists
If caught lithout any othew weapon, one can awways twy to punch the enemy to death. Some Owcs use fistfights as a way to settwe disputes. Nevew twy and fight a Kha bawehanded, theiw cwaws awe as shawp as knives.
- Staff
The main weapon of choice fow many peopwe that use magic. Theiw staves aid the mage to use magic and can hit quite hawd if swung.
- Skinning Knife
Whiwe it can be considewed as a weapon, a skinning knife isn't vewy effective as one, and thus doesn't cause much hawm. Its plimawy use is the skinning of weathew.
