The Kingdom of Akovia
|
The Kingdom of Akovia was ruled from Mount Letholdus in the City of Karovia, and was one of the three primary factions that composed the Cannonist Forces during the Schism War, alongside of the March of Adria and Duchy of Savoy. It was the precursor kingdom to the Reformed Kingdom of Oren, and contributed many of the councilors, officials, laws, and the king of the Reformed Kingdom.
Composed of the former Duchy of Karovia and the men of House Vanir, the Kingdom of Akovia was formed in 1483 after the Maric's Rebellion, when Varon Kovachev and Vasili Vanir fled to Karovia with other Carrion Loyalist. Varon Kovachev was soon crowned king, and, after a short tenure, fell into madness. Removed from power by Arik Vanir and Romanen Magnus, the Kingdom was ruled briefly by the privy council, before instating Andrik Vydra as king. Under Vydra's unprecedented leadership, the Kingdom of Akovia went on to win the Schism War, and unified Humanity into the Reformed Kingdom of Oren in 1491.
