Spider's silk is a hard material to gather and process but a rewarding one. It is tough, very tough, very few things can cut spider's silk once it has been tailored and instead you receive all damage as bunt damage the silk not being cut, but it does not absorb any damage like other armours. It is also very light weight, light seems to dance of the silk cloth looking beautiful.

Usage

Spider's silk is most useful when woven into a cloth. When this is done it may be used to make fine clothing, effective bandages, and other common fabric products. It also may be used anywhere as a sort of ductile or strong string that can handle intense conditions if needed such as bow strings or inside mechanical devices.

Appearance

The basic silk doesn't look that grand by itself, but once it is woven into cloth it is beautiful. Light dances on it making it shimmer and somewhat sparkle, wind makes it breezy and comfortable, and overall it is a loose, smooth, soft, and otherwise luxurious material.

Traits

Toughness

Once woven into a cloth is silk is incredibly tough, few things are sharp enough to cut the cloth, but because of this when attacked, you receive all the force as bunt damage to the area of your body that was hit. Cross bow and loong bow with more than two hundred pounds draw weight can preace the cloth, Arrow hitting and deflecting may cause broken bones and ruptured organs and inbed them selfs within the flesh and silk. But sword stabs are more likely to cut the cloth

Water

When the cloth gets wet it contracts making it like a swim suit it is also somewhat waterproof but the draw back is when wet it slows your movement down

Clotting wounds

The cloth also has a strange ability to cloth cuts and wounds faster than any other cloths or the bodys natural pace. The effectiveness of it is determined by the skill of tailor that made the bandages.

Fire

The silk and cloth are both highly flammable it would be smart to avoid all fire.

Gathering and processing.

If you are luck a few strands might drop when you slay a spider but this is unlikely and a poor way to gather this. To properly gather silk you must find an animal that the spider will pray on, say a dog, than sit the animal in front of the spiders den. Now the spider won't kill it but it will warp it up in the silk. Then the next step, it's to sneak in or kill the spider to get the animal back and return to a safe place. Once you done that now you have to free the animal. This can be done by cutting the silk with shears, but this will take a long time, or by taking the silk to warm water and wetting it then slowly unraveling the silk, then drying it.

Once you have gather enough silk it must be taken to a skilled tailor used to working with very fine silks and materials, and ask him to turn it into a cloth for you. Unless you are a master tailor do not try this yourself. Once he is done ask the tailor to create what you wish the cloth to be made into. It can also be dyed. The silk is very hard to work with so expect a rather large fee from the tailor.
