{{quote|During night I’ve been studying the shambling bone constructs and I’ve come to find that uncommon to natural belief that not all of these undead are risen archers. One night as I awoke to a wicked screech from my campsite I was abruptly greets with one of the screeching monstrosities as it swung wildly with a rust corroded longsword. To all of those embarking on camping trips or any night time walks I implore you to tread carefully for now you must not only watch out for arrows but sword tips. Another fear of mine is that the skeleton unlike it’s arisen zombie companion  has been gifted with actual thought! These creatures only attack those who are considered amongst the living, not only have I witnessed ambushes by the creatures but they coordinate their strikes accordingly when grouped. This is a worrying tactic which leads me to believe that necromancers are once again amongst the living.

History

In Aegis, Skeletons were frequently used by the Undead in their fights against Aegeans. Necromancers were also known to raise skeletons. In Asulon and Anthos, the reasons for the continued existence of skeletons is under constant debate, as their origins are no longer clear. They continue to be among the most common of undead creatures that roam the lands. In Anthos the Dark Lord of the North used Skeletons of a far more deadly variety.

Skeletons are the bones of the dead, reanimated to walk the earth once more. Some Skeletons have been dead for longer than others and are easier to destroy, but all Skeletons carry bows, either used in life or found in death. They are very good shots with their bows and seemingly endless supplies of arrows. Skeletons will very rarely be seen riding a spider -- the two monsters will coordinate their attacks. If seen this monstrosity should be attacked carefully.

When they sight a mortal being, a Skeleton will attack with their bow. Their fragile bodies are easily struck down with common weapons, like the axe or sword. When defeated their bones can often be picked up, or bonemeal if the Skeleton is very old. Some will have other items on them from their life, such as minas, feathers, flint, bows or armor. They may also raid settlements to gain items or loot them from the corpses of their victims.
