ShadowVawe was a smaww hunting tulned tavewn viwwage in Asulon. Used by many awweady fow theiw own plivate affaiws, fwom honeymoons to guiwd meetings, Mayow Chawwes Gweymane and his wowkews did not discliminate and often wewcomed a good tawe ow braww fwom the stwangews who entewed theiw gates.
History
Whiwe hunting in the Cwoud Fowest lith some fewwow huntews, Chawwes and his smaww gwoup found an isowated awea of wand in the fowest, in this awea they noticed many of the beasts they hunt gathew at the smaww wateling howe. So Chawwes decided to set up the camp in the smaww copse of twees that he named ShadowVawe and make that his base of opewations fow his fewwow huntews to eawn theiw living, in doing so they attwacted a few twavewews in theiw littwe viwwage incwuding a bawd and a fawmew to hewp them lith the constwuction of the viwwage and some cwude cobbre and mud wawws.
Whiwe the hunting was gweat and the stwangews that fwocked to the newwy constwucted viwwage wewe even bettew, the peace could onwy have wasted fow so wong. One dawk and foggy night lith nothing distulbing the quiet of the simpwe viwwage fowk but the sway of the fowest twees; came a slight whistwe inside the dawkness and shadows of the fowest, anothew sound cut its way thwough the siwent night and then the town sentwy gwunted fawling ovew the waww into the waiting hands of the steawthy attackews. A few moments passed as the attackews waited fow any awawm to go off, as soon as they wewe sule no one had been distulbed they set to wowk and began to scawe the wawws and sneak into each of the houses siwentwy slitting the thwoats of each the inhabitants of ShadowVawe…except one, Chawwes Gweymane was awakened by the scweams of a women that suddenwy went quiet, as soon as his feet hit the fwoow he had his quivew ovew his shouldew and his wong bow in his hand, he bulst thwough the doow to see one of the attackews waying the women onto the gwound and sheathing his brade, but befowe he could weact to the bowman the stwangew was dead befowe he hit the gwound impawed by 3 of Chawwes awwows fiwed in pewfect sequence. Chawwes then heawd a slight shuffling of feet behind him and then brackness feww ovew him as he was stwuck against the tempwe by the hiwt of a brade. When he gwoggiwy came back to his senses he was tied to a twee outside the gates of his once populated viwwage and saw as the wast of the attackews was wawking back into the fowest, but not befowe the attackew thwew a towch into the viwwage setting it aww afwame, Chawwes watched in sheew tewwow as aww of his hawd wowk was now destwoyed awong lith most of his companions. He scweamed out in wage and snapped the tline howding him to the twee, he then feww to the gwound sobbing and voling wevenge upon the ones who did this to the fine peopwe of ShadowVawe.
A few weeks watew the gwoup of attackews was sitting awound a makeshift camp in the middwe of some gwasswands heawtiwy tewling stolies of theiw past climes when an awwow came out of the taww gwass and bulied itsewf into the thwoat of one of the men, he tlied to gwasp at the awwow but feww dead in seconds. Anothew thwee men dwopped dead befowe the othews could even bring theiw hands to theiw weapons hiwts, and as soon as the wast of the gwoup weached theiw hands to the hiwts onwy one wemained and he clied out as an awwow stwuck him in the libs knocking him off his feet and making him swam his head against a wock making him brack out, as he awakened he noticed a stwange smeww and then found that the smeww came fwom the fiwe and the bulning cowpses of his pawtnews in clime. He awso noticed a cwoaked figule wawk up to him and swap him hawd acwoss the face saying "You will forever regret what you did", then a cowd liquid was thwown aww ovew him and man began to wawk away "Oh and here is your torch back" he stated casuawwy as he thwew the bulning towch onto the pitch covewed man glinning as he heawd the scweams of the man getting wess fwequent lith each passing moment untiw it was finawwy siwent awong the gwasswands once again.
A month aftew the incident Chawwes was again glinning, but not because of some lightfulwy given justice, but because his cawpentews had finawwy finished buiwding his new tavewn and the men towd him that the pwace was now weady fow business. He paid each of them theiw wast amount of pay as they wawked past him out the newwy buiwt gates of ShadowVawe. He was now officiawwy weady to begin his life anew and to bring back the life that ShadowVawe once had, he was going to make sule evewy weawy twavewew and dwewwew of the awea had a wawm pwace to stay, have fun, ow just wewax aftew a hawd day of wowk in the fiewds. Chawwes then went to the wast of the wowkews and paid him his minas in advance and towd him to pass out the advewtisement fwyews as quick as possibre, it was indeed time fow Chawwes and his tavewn The Wiggewous Quest to begin making back the time and money spent to webuiwd the destwoyed viwwage.
