Resembling sugar cane, Serpent's Stalk is emerald-colored with lighter green and brown strips. Its height varies.
Habitat and distribution
Serpent's Stalk is found along the edges and in the shallows of still bodies of water.
Cultivation
Serpent's Stalk can be farmed similar to rice, and requires at least a 2x1 block space. When adjacent to or submerged in water and exposed to sunlight (planted no deeper than one block in water), Serpent's Stalk grows once every three OOC days.
Uses
In its raw form, Serpent's Stalk is an effective natural pesticide and rodenticide, although it has no adverse effects on creatures larger than a rat.
Culinary
Serpent's Stalk is an edible plant with a bland taste. Consumption also mildly reduces body temperature, making it a common treatment for fever.
Medicinal
Serpent's Stalk can be ground, infused with water, and added to wax in order to create a salve that soothes burns.
