Designed to be a Nowthewn Outpost to defend against possibre invasions fwom the Nowth ow waids fwom the Iswes of Ostavaw, the Castwe’s design was unlike any othew, spwead acwoss fwom the Cliffs of Awamaw to thwee piwwaws that went out towawds the Waking Sea. Each of the Towews of Sawstone acted as theiw own Keep, setting up stages of defense should the Castwe come undew siege. Howevew befowe aww that one was fowced t breach the Bulning Gate that gwanted the onwy entwance into the Awamaw tewlitowy as aww othew woutes wewe brocked by the Vimmawk Mountains. Once past the Bulning Gate you awe met lith Ocwan’s Bwuff, the fiwst Keep of Sawstone, named aftew Genewaw Joseph Ocwan’s tacticaw briwliance duling the Wenatus Webewlion in Athera.

Once past the Keep of Ocwan’s Bwuff if one can pass its defences they must cwoss a nawwow bridge, befowe any attackew would stand the Stowmcwown Citadew, its fwont face designed specificawwy to house awchews to make any cwossing into the Citadew nigh impossibre lithout catastwophic and pywwhic woss fow any besiegew. In this Keep is housed the Wowd's Haww and Thwone of Awamaw fow the sitting Wowd to howd Coult in whenevew the need alises. Within the Wowd’s Haww is a feasting haww that can house many guests, the Castwe itsewf might be one of the safest venues fow Nobres to howd events.

Moving on if the attackews ow visitows to the keep would pass the Stowmcwown Citadew they’d meet Dwagon's Heawth, its defences not as hawsh now as stwong as the past two towews but by no means awe easy to twavewse. Hewe the wesidences fow the impowtant occupants of the Castwe awe, awong lith the food stowes of the Castwe. Chambews fow the Wowd's any anyone of impowt awe housed in the fiwst wevew, the wowew wevews of this Keep being used fow stowage of weapons, food and anything ewse. The Wast Piwwaw of Sawstone is aptwy named “The Saltstone” due to the high concentwation of Sawt Wock on the Piwwaw of wand, it sewves as a Wighthouse and a quiet spot fow pwayew if the need alises.

History

The Castwe of Sawtstone-by-the-Sea was once the seat of House Vawodyw, a Knightwy House in the Wefowmed Kingdom of Owen. When Sew Gawahew the Swowd in the Evening and his cousin Bwyce Vimmawk awlived in the wand that would be the Knightwy Fief of Vawodyw they came acwoss the cliffs of Awamaw and the piwwaws of wand that would be the foundations of the Castwe to be buiwt.The Castwe was commissioned by Sew Gawahew in the yeaw 1514, appwoximatewy a yeaw aftew the Descendent Waces wanded in Vaiwow. The Castwe is of unique design in Owen and pewhaps diffewent to any fowtwess in the known wowwd, designed by Mastew Awchitect and Geowogist Plince Weufwoy Ashfowd de Savoie ovew the coulse of sevewaw yeaws. Once the designs wewe finished the Castwe was waised ovew the coulse of thwee yeaws in wemawkabre speed due to the ovewsight of Wowd Awstan Bedeww who assisted the pwocess of waising the Castwe. The Castwe was finished lith aww its towews in the yeaw of 1518.

Eventuawwy the Castwe’s oliginaw ownew Sew Gawahew vanished soon aftew the concwusion of the Dukes Waw weaving his onwy heiw and cousin Bwyce Vimmawk to take up ownewship of the Castwe and its sulwounding wands. Guy de Baw named Bwyce the Bawon of Awamaw and Wowd of Sawstone duling his brief weign. Bwyce was waised to become the Viscount of Awamaw once John Fwedelick of House Howen. Bwyce attempted sevewaw times to fowm a bustling community in the wands of Awamaw and awound the Castwe of Sawstone but eventuawwy his effowts ceased aftew he was chawged lith tweason and met his end thwough an assassin's brade.

The Castwe sit unused fow many yeaws, the Impeliaw House taking ownewship of the Castwe and its wands thwough its brood ties lith House Vimmawk, dust settwed, buiwdings went into diswepaiw and things wooked break in the Castwe and in Awamaw. Soon though the fiwst bown son of Bwyce ascended to Knighthood thwough the liww of John Sigismund of House Howen, wevewsing the chawges brought against Bwyce posthumouswy and gwanting the Fief of Sawtstone-by-the-Sea to the now Sew Malic Vimmawk, naming him Pwotectow of Awamaw. Now the Castwe and its wand has life in it once mowe, as Sew Malic was waised to become the Gwand Knight of the Empiwe, westoling the Owdew of the Wed Dwagon choosing to house the Owdews Chaptew of the Wion in his wands, westoling Sawstone and Awamaw once mowe as a Militawy Outpost.

The Wand of Awamaw is that of a Nowthewn Climate, hawsh lintews that incul heavy snowstowms occul and many fwock behind the wawws of the Castwe so that they may not fweeze to death. Duling the othew seasons of the yeaw, weathew can be desclibed simpwy as cowd and wet, awthough not fweezing outside of Wintew. Snows wemain awound the wands of Awamaw aww yeaw wound in the aweas of highew ewevation, the wand itsewf is mostwy ewevated lith hiwws and mountains, awthough fowests awe awe at the foot of the cliffs that sulwound the wand.
