The Royal Hansetic Army is the professional standing military force of the Kingdom of Haense, protecting the Kingdom from both internal and external threats. Formed at the Royal Duma of 1600, it was decided by the Lords of the realm that unification of the various levies and companies within the Kingdom would help in the war against the Kingdom of Courland.
Count Eric of Metterden was chosen by King Marius to be General of the Army, and was in command since the Army's formation.
In 1724, the Royal Hansetic Army was dissolved and the second Brotherhood of Saint Karl was formed.
