The Agra is the official currency of The United Provinces of Dùnrath. It is subdivided into 10 Florin. The Agra is abbreviated as Ag. placed after the amount or written in decimal form, replacing the decimal point with a colon (:) and 0 Florin is typically written as a dash (-). The Agra is issued by the Bank of Sutherland ( OT: Banca na Cataibh; SV: Sörlandbanken), the Central Bank of the United Provinces.

History

The Agra was introduced in year 31 of Efter Etablering (73 S.A.) by the Monetary Act. It replaced the Agnethe Deàrachean, the legal tender of the United Provinces until Year 75, at a rate of 10₫ = 1:-. When it was first introduced, one Agra was worth precisely 10 Deàrachean or 0.129 Minae. The currency then started to appreciate slowly, and it is now worth 0.135 Minae per Agra as of year 53 of Efter Etablering.

It is scheduled that the second batch of Agra is to be issued by the Bank of Sutherland, which does not affect the denominations of the currency. This was partly proposed due to the planning to move the Rathonian Capital to Helensburgh.

Coins

In the year 31 E.E., when the currency was first introduced. The coins were introduced in denominations of 5, 25, 100, 200 and 1000 Agra. The coins were made with various materials ranging from Nickle, Zinc, Silver and Gold. The coins all carry the coat of arms of the United Provinces and one significant feature of Dùnrath on the obverse side. In year 45 E.E., a new 50 Agra was minted, replacing the 5 Agra coins, and all monetary amounts are rounded up to the nearest 25 Agra in public records.

Banknotes

Before the scheduled second batch of Agra was planned, there was no issue on Banknotes for the currency. However, for the second batch of Agra, new designs for 200 and 500 Agra will appear in Banknotes instead of coins. The Banknotes were inspired and designed by the Cabinet Secretary for External Affairs, Brite Louise Palelight, and were approved by the Central Bank.
