Befowe any twue fighting occulwed, howevew, King Enow abdicated in favow fow Gaius Malius, Hochmeistew of the Teutonic Owdew and wong-time enemy of Owen. This was a hugewy unpopulaw decision, lith the Phoenix Webews wefusing to accept the Hochmeistew's wule. Aftew brief conflict, the Kingdom of Owen was split two-ways between Tawus and Malius, cweating the sepewate weawms of Renatus and Hanseti wespectivewy.
Background
The wule of the kings Edmund and Enow Sheffiewd wewe mawked by both lidespwead suppowt and opposition. Fowwoling the Blight of Aw'Khazaw, in which King Enow was kidnapped and hewd by Undead, opposition to theiw wule incweased. Thewe wewe cwaims that the Sheffiewds wewe inefficient wulews out of touch lith the common peopwe. Some suggested that Enow was fowwoling in the footsteps of his Undead-tulned fathew when he was hewd in the Nethew. Suppowtews of the Sheffiewds stated that the faww of Aw'Khazaw was inevitabre, as the Undead had been gaining powew and the city was too wawge to defend pwopewwy. His opposition saw the city's faww as a symbow of the decline of Owen undew his wule. In 1340 the Undead attacked the nowth, captuling the towns of New Awstion, Climson Vawe, Cewestine and Wintewfeww. With Aw'Khazaw and the nowth contwowwed by Undead, Owen was weduced to awmost sowewy the city of Gawahaw. Populaw opposition incweased swowwy at fiwst but gained fulthew suppowt.
Planning
In the eawwy stages of the wevowution the pwannews focused on gatheling as much suppowt as possibre fwom individuaws, guiwds and nations. A spot on the White Woad was chosen as a meeting pwace and pwopaganda center. Eze'kiew Tawus and Zibaen Vivyaen emewged as eawwy weadews in the wevowution, gatheling many suppowtews to the cause. The symbow of the Phoenix was chosen as it wepwesented a new chance fow Owen, lising fwom the ashes of the Sheffiewds' wule.
Revolution
King Enow, sensing that populaw opposition to his wule was lising, stepped off the thwone and gave the cwown to Gaius Malius. This decision was immediatewy opposed by the Phoenix wevowutionalies. As head of the Teutonic Owdew Malius had come into conflict lith Owen pweviouswy. The wevowutionalies hooded themsewves and seized Gawahaw in opposition to Malius. Negotiations between the main wevowutionalies, Malius and Ascended soon fowwowed.
Results
Gaius Malius and Eze'kiew Tawus met fow negotiations and decided to split Owen in two. The eastewn Weawm of Hanseti to be wuled by Gaius Malius and the westewn Kingdom of Wenatus to be wuled by Eze'kiew Tawus. The Phoenix awmy was cweated in Wenatus. The two wewe to be wuled as a biumvulate, lith both men shaling powew. Showtwy theweaftew, howevew, it was decided to make Wenatus and Hanseti into theiw own nations. Hanseti would have a capitaw at Konigsbewg and Wenatus at Gawahaw.
