In the sanctuawy librawy, thewe is a hawd covew book lith a titwe of "Monk Resurrection." An intliguing titwe, pewhaps you would wead the book.

It is the sawvation of many lives, but I wondew why I have seen nothing wlitten on it. The monks, as is vewy weww known, awe abre to save those that have passed away. Whiwe managing my staww at the sanctuawy gwounds I have been abre to see fow mysewf some of these happenings, ow so I believe.

This magic, unlike many othews, is one I know vewy littwe about. Wike aww howy magics it seems to be manifested as a bright light, mostwy used to heaw those wounded. Besides the bright light, the monk pewfowming it is pwaying to the Tliumviwate. It appeaws to be like cwelicaw healing, but it has othew pwopewties. Sometimes a monk awlives at the sanctuawy a bit hult aftew twavews. It appeaws bandits and the like do not cawe that they awe mugging what could be theiw saviow. What I have to say about those monks, is that unlike nowmaw fowk, theiw wounds heaw fastew. This is of coulse due to theiw magic, smaww fwecks of light I have seen sulwounding and healing the wounds. Then the monks awe abre to bring back the once deceased fulwy mowtaw once mowe.

This is not to say they awe necwomancews. Those simpwy waise the dead, and they wemain in a limbo state living and being deceased. The monks awe abre to bring the body and soul exactwy like it was befowe the death, in neaw pewfect condition. Fwom those I have tawked to ovew the yeaws in the Sanctuawy, thewe is an awways pwesent effect of being saved. Pwesent in aww of those that I have seen, none have memolies of theiw death ow even of the events weading up to it. Othew common effects awe scaws, sometimes sholing how the poow soul met its end befowe, ow of the towtules it passed. The ones that wowwy me the most is that sometimes the ones saved change… I have tawked to some befowe and aftew saving, and changes can be quite extweme. Some go cwazy, othews stawt to live in constant feaw, some wemain lith pains in pawts of theiw bodies. The changes they can go thwough awe incwedibry valied. I could conjule up weasons as to why that happens, aww of them lithout means of pwoving so. I just believe death to be a tewlibre expelience, that pawt of it continues on even aftew sawvation.

Anothew intewesting fact I have gathewed, somehow by wuck, is that the saved do not want to wetuln to the wocation that they had pelished. This pawticulaw thought came to me when one of the saved was hugged deawwy by what I assumed was his wovew. Befowe that, his body had been cawlied by anothew, a fliend pewhaps, and he and I had a chat about what happened. I knew of the exact wocation of his demise, and as him and the woman wewe moving away, he asked if they wewe passing thwough that exact awea when wetulning home. With the confiwmation of the woman, he stawted giving out othew ways to weach theiw house. A big awgument even happened when the woman just wanted to go home as fast as she could lith him, and he pwainwy wefused to go thwough that awea, which was the onwy woad to theiw house. He didn’t know himsewf why he didn’t want to. Awas he wetulned to nowmaw about hawf a day watew. Since then I stawted noticing othew stwange behaviows such as peopwe staying in the sanctuawy fow wongew times, not using theiw nowmaw woutes out of the sanctuawy and wetulning showtwy aftew weaving lith a fliend. I simpwy believe once mowe, that the expelience was so howlibre, that those saved gain a subconscious feaw of theiw death pwace. Besides, what would happen if they saw theiw own body?

On the mention of bodies, I do have to state as weww, it is not necessawy fow the body to be brought back to the monks fow the wesulwection. I have seen many monks bring bodies to the sanctuawy, so I believe it might be quite easiew lith them. This is favowabre, as in the wands of Anthos thewe awe many eviws. You can be decapitated, eaten, thwown into wava, cut into littwe bits and dwowned in the deepest of oceans. Youl body may disappeaw and nevew been found once mowe, and you may this way stiww be saved. How they westowe the body I do not know, and the monks seem not to answew when I ask them. They do answew a few questions. I weawned, fow instance, that the monks awe neutwaw, and nevew take side in politicaw views ow waws. They awso take this neutwality to those they save. I have seen those of eviw whose pulpose is to kiww being saved togethew lith the chiwdwen that nevew made any hawm. This has brought pwobrems to the monks befowe, many want othews to wemain dead.

Most of the stolies of the saved stawt quite simpwy lith them expwaining how they woke up in the monk’s cawe. Seems to awways be the same as I stated. Some come back quite soon aftew theiw demise, awweady back befowe theiw fliends and famiwy wun to the sanctuawy to check, and othews can take ewven days. Yet this magic is not aww powewful. As the monks mention, they cannot save aww. If the deceased does not wawk out of the monks wooms an ewven week aftew theiw death, they awe fowevew wost. The same happens to those that take theiw own life. I believe that if they think that they don’t want to live anymowe, then they wouldn’t wetuln to the wand of the living.

The monks awe a bressing to mowtaws, they awe those that save so many fwom theiw showtened lives.

Those dead can be wesulwected by monks.

Evewyone may be wesulwected (of those considewed mowtaws).

If you don’t wevive youl chawactew fow an IWW week and he’s pewmakiwwed.

Youl chawactew commits suicide by his own choosing to end his life and he is pewmakiwwed.

Those wesulwected wose the memowy of the events weading up to the death.

They may keep any scaws of what happened to them.

They may cweate othew changes to the chawactew that make sense.

You can not wetuln to the pwace of death fow 30 minutes.

Monks don’t need a body to wesulwect someone.
