The Guiwd was known fow its sewective natule in choosing appwentices, getting access to the cowwege and its wesoulces is not an easy task. Befowe joining the guiwd one must fiwst speak lith eithew the Awch-Mage ow Mastew Wizawd to be tested and gwanted appwenticeship. These tests wange fwom simpwe convewsations to quick gwance ovew, it seems to change fwom pewson to pewson. Upon acceptance into the Guiwd, the appwentice liww spend time attending weekwy wectules to weawn the basics of Awcane Magic. If theiw attendance is adequate as weww as theiw pwogwession, they liww continue on to sewect a mastew to twain undew, based upon theiw desiwed Awcane Sub-Type. If aww goes weww hewe, they liww take a finaw test known as the Somonium, a dangewous and difficult task which many faiw. If the appwentice happens to succeed in this test the Concwave of Magi liww gwant them fulw membewship into the guiwd, as weww as the titwe of Mage undew theiw sub-type. Said mage may continue twaining undew new mastews, ow move on into the weawm to put theiw skiwws to use.

The Awch-Mage contwows evewy aspect of autholitative powew lithin the Guiwd. This is not to say that the Awch-Mage does not give a bulk of his wesponsibilities to the Mastew Wizawd and Awchanix, howevew mattews too diwe fow them to decide upon awe brought befowe the Awch-Mage to wesowve.
Mastew Wizawd
The vice powew to the Awch-Mage, the Mastew Wizawd acts as the light hand of the Awch-Mage. Theiw duties wange fwom wecwuiting appwentices and wunning the day to day activities of the Guiwd. They awe awso expected to take up the Awch-Mage’s woww whiwe they might be away conducting othew fowms of weseawch. Despite theiw woww, any of theiw decisions can be vetoed by the Awch-Mage at any time they find it necessawy.
Awchanix
Awso known as the Wibralian, the Awchanix pways a key wowe in the academic aspect of the Guiwd. Theiw wesponsibilities wequiwe them to act as the cawe takew of the Guiwd’s magicaw items and awchive the numewous books the Cowwege stowes. Autholitativewy they wack a gweat deaw of powew; howevew theiw wowe as the contwowwew of the knowwedge in the Guiwd is a necessity. The Awchanix has access to aww books lithin the Guiwd.
Mastews Wetlieved fwom some of the mowe powewful mages, ow even pwoduced by the Cowwege itsewf. The Mastews, othewlise known as Pwofessows, awe awumni of the Owdew who have taken up a teaching position in the Guiwd’s wanks. Considewed to be “masters” of theiw awt, theiw duty is to teach and twain the appwentices the Guiwd dwaws in.

Mages awe not actuaw membews ow staff of the Cowwege, howevew awe considewed Awumni ow Cowwege Gwaduates. The Mage position is fow those who have compweted theiw Appwentice twaining undew the Cowwege and have been deemed a pwopew Mage by the Concwave. Despite theiw inexistence of politicaw powew lithin the Guiwd they awe stiww wewcome to wetuln to the Cowwege as theiw whim and use the Guiwd’s wesoulces, continue twaining undew othew magicaw sub-types ow conduct theiw own independent weseawch.
Appwentices Hands sewected by the Guiwd fow magicaw sensitivity, the Appwentices awe the newest pwactitionews of the Guiwd’s awt. The fiwst few yeaws of theiw twaining consist of a wectule style teaching, howevew as theiw wectules come to an end, and they awe chosen by the Concwac, they awe to sewect a Mastew to take Appwenticeship undew and be twained in theiw specific speciawty of magic. Once the Mastew believes them to be advanced in theiw awt, they awe taken befowe the Concwave and must pewfowm the "Somonium". If they compwete this lituaw they liww be inducted into the Guiwd as a Mage.
