Laurelie Henrietta, regally known as Laurelie of Aquilae, was the 4th Vicereine-Consort of Hyspia from her marriage to Cesar I, Viceroy of Hyspia. She was the only daughter of Sir Duncan "the Hound" Vuiller and his wife, Lady Ravn Vuiller, being a notable member of House Vuiller. During her tenure, she was known for her piety and humble nature. Due to how she was raised, she would make a series of crosses, and stitch and sew plushies and clothing for those less fortunate.

Appearance

Vicereine Laurelie had darker brown hair and green eyes. She dressed humbly, donning muted fabrics and hand-made dresses save for the occasional Viceroyal blue. Her hair was long, but when pushed to the side, reportedly a long scar drew across her neck and shoulder blade - an injury from her youth.

Biography

Childhood

The Lady Laurelie Henrietta Vuiller was born in 1853 to Sir Duncan "the Hound" Vuiller and Lady Ravn Vuiller. Born as one of four children, she was the youngest and only daughter to boot, having three elder brothers. Laurelie was born originally in the Holy Orenian Empire, under the Viscounty of Vuillermoz during a war her father had started, known primarily at the time as "the Sheeps War" or "the War of the Wigs".

Despite this, she would be raised alongside her siblings and cousins in the Vuiller keep and instilled with the morals of their household and the Canonist faith. Reportedly, despite the war, she enjoyed her childhood in which she stayed within the confines of Oren and her home of Vuillermoz.

Teenage Years

It was during Laurelies teenaged years that everything truly changed. The war she had been born into had ended, for all of a day and a half, before another began known as "the Brothers War". Mere days before the civil war began, she found her father brutally murdered within the lands of Vuillermoz, grieving him greatly. In the beginning of the civil war days later, she would lock herself away within the Vuillermoz keep - all of fourteen years of age, with her younger siblings and cousins while they waited for their head of house, the Viscount Rev Vuiller to arrive home and tell them what the family will do. No chance was given for the Viscount to arrive, as the Prince Frederick arrived with his army, demanding an answer of which none was given. His men broke into the keep with assistance through the betrayal of Primrose Gendik, an in-law to the Vuiller family. Chaos broke loose, as the young Vuiller children had rushed to the rooves and soon got surrounded. Certain death was to be had, until the marching of the Crown Princes army sounded from below. The true fight began then, and Laurelie and her cousins escaped the keep through the second floor window, with babies from the nursery clutched close. They found themselves in the Vuiller crypts afterwards, Laurelie crying desperately beside her recently murdered fathers crypt, as her cousins cried for GOD and for their ancestor, Saint Harald Vuiller, to save them. Eventually, the children were found by the Crown Princes men and taken to a keep that was taken over. The choice was made then for the family as to which side they would take, forced by blood and steel.

The war lost, and Laurelie traveled with what was left of her family as a refugee and into the desert sands. A blood rain had begun, only worsening the troubles the young Laurelie went through, until finally camp and later construction was made, founding the Duchy of Balian.

Young Adulthood

As a young adult, her time was spent getting used to the heat and desert sands of Balian. Despite all that was lost, her life was looking up and she had room to grow and be who she wished to be. The Syndesi Feriae, Balians first social season took place soon after, where she was named the one and only 'Desert Rose'. This took place after a break-up, having been courting a boy of unknown name for some years and the courtship having ended for reasons unknown. It was during this time that Laurelie would meet the Viceroy Cesar I, the Hyspian Monarch attending the social season in search of a wife. Their bond was slow to grow, and started with the duo writing each other letters - which later turned into a tour of their respective cities.

Through much trial and tribulation set forth by the then Count Rev Vuiller of Aquilae, the duo would marry some years later within the Viceroyalty of Hyspia.

Adulthood

Shortly after Laurelies move to Hyspia, the desert nation would undergo a drought and she would come to have her children within Balian while awaiting a deal to be made by Viceroy Cesar I. She would go on to have four children, Francisco, Sofia, Alejandro and Veronica - who she would raise within the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. Not long after the birth of her children, did her mother the Lady Ravn Vuiller pass away. The Hyspian people had made a deal with the Northern nation, bringing Vicereine Laurelie back to the chill and snow similar to Vuillermoz as a child.

It is during this time that she would focus on her work as Vicereine, sewing frocks and plushes for those less fortunate and creating a line of crosses for those to use. She would take on wards within Hyspias palace in Ciudad de Plata, raising them as her own. Her time was always spent helping another, soft-spoken and always with a kind smile. This went the same for some years, until the disownment of her second son the once Prince Alejandro and consequent murder of her husband, Viceroy Cesar I.

Vicereine Dowager

The now Vicereine Dowager, Laurelie of Aquilae's son, Viceroy Francisco I would ascend to the Viceroyal throne. She would act as an advisor, though her influence would wane under the new and younger Vicereine-Consort, Amity of Ghaestenwald. Instead, her time would be spent much as before, with the added moments with her grandchildren. Some years later, the Dowager would pass on in 1940.
