Jory assumed power as the King of Norland after the siege and ransacking of Vjorhelm, where his only legitamized brother,Jevan Ruric, would go missing. There was a demand for a new leader by the people of Norland, so Jory, with an agreement among all the other known Rurics and Ashes, called a moot to select a new king. Reign
Shortly after his coronation Jory, still known as Jory Ash, would declare himself and all his known brothers of Javier Ruric legitimized in the eyes of the Faith as well as the crown. Jory would then go on to fufill his goal of saving Norland from annihilation. He'd do so by going to speak to his former foe, Leitseig of the Kingdom of Renatus. It is then when he would decided that he would bend the knee to Renatus to save his People from another siege of Vjorhelm. This decision would earn him the title of the King who Knelt, although it would bring him to share yet another resemblance of his Ancestor, Eirik the Great, who was faced with the same ultimatum and made the same decision. As well as sharing similar looks to his Ancestor, Jory has been believe to be the reincarnation of Eirik himself.
