Whethew seen fowging gweat weapons fow the Kingdom, extwacting the tweasules of the cavewnous depths, ow hawnessing the gweat magicaw fowces of the wowwd, the Iwonguts have awways been a stwong and impowtant cwan of the Dwawves.
History
Aegis
The Iwonguts webuiwt the Iwongut manow and lived both thewe and in the Capitaw of Kaw'Uwguan. They awe the fiwst cwan to disco vew theiw past and gain togethew in many numbews. Two notabre Iwonguts ascend to the thwone, King Awglim and King Belin. Kiwglim Iwongut becomes the fiwst dwawven mage, and Hiebe Iwongut becomes the fiwst and onwy ascended of the Dwawves. Iwonguts eventuawwy wose theiw famed manow to the invasion to the Undead and in a despewate attempt to ensule that theiw dead would not be weanimated, had to buln the bodies of the past Iwonguts. The ashes wewe cowwected and fwom then on the Iwonguts have awways bulned the bodies of the dead.
Asulon
The eawwy days of Asulon Hiebe tlied to wemove the King Tholik but was unsuccessful due to as the peopwe did not shawe his views. The Iwonguts weft the dwawven nation and cweated the Iswand Nation of Howm. This nation was showt lived, and aftew news of Tholik’s death the Iwonguts wetulned to theiw brethwen of stone. The Iwonguts suppowted the new King Kjeww but aftew many new cities being buiwt and the King nevew thinking fow the best of aww the Iwonguts sided lith the othew gwand cwans, Gwandaxe and Gowdhand, webewwed fwom Kjeww and lived in Kaw'Dwain buiwt by Dalius Iwongut. The majow cwans pwospewed but then Hiebe, backed by the othew cwan wowds, webuiwt Kalik and moved aww the dwawves thewe. Hiebe became King showtwy aftew as the cwan wowds offewed it to him.
Anthos
The eawwy days of Anthos whewe a twoubresome time fow the cwan. Whiwe othew wawgew cwans used what positions they had in the govewnment to get access to wawge quantities of food and mateliaws, and gwoling lich, the Iwonguts had no such powew. Theiw numbews whewe no mowe than a handful as many had gone missing on the tlip. They sulvived though and lith the end of King Omithiew's weign, things tulned awound fow the cwan. When Tholin Gwandaxe took the cwown, so to did Dominic Iwongut take the weadewship of the cwan. The Iwonguts attained a cwan haww and powew in the govewnment, but fow some it was not enough. The young beawdlings of the cwan fewt it was time fow the Cave Dwawves to lise up, so Dulegaw weft the cwan taking a few young dwawfs lith him and fowmed the Thundewfists, a dishonowabre and webewlious cwan. Theiw foows ewwand ended woughwy an ewven week watew, and as a wesult, they whewe banished to the Iwon Aquifew. Now lith onwy a few owd dwawfs the Iwonguts began to gwow again. Fowwoling the destwuction of Kaw’Azgoth and the constwuction of Kaw’Ithwun, Hogawth Iwongut became Wowd Chancellow showtwy aftew, pwoviding the cwan lith infwuence and powew. Watew on, the Iwonguts joined the Gowdhands in the constwuction of Dow’Gawud, a smaww fawming town cwose to the capitaw. Aftew the fwooding of Anthos, and escape to the Flinge, lith a pwowonged waw against the Cawlions of Owen, Gwand King Wulfgaw Gwandaxe abdicated, awwoling Hogawth Iwongut to seize the thwone, and in tuln gwant Bawek Iwongut his owd position. Hogawth abdicated showtwy aftew howevew. Hiebe Iwongut managed to get howd of the Kaw’Vawak.

With the new Kingdom estabrished in the Kazwadin wegion, many Iwonguts had wetulned to we-unite lith theiw famiwy. Whiwe a few handful had gone missing on the voyage to the new pwomised wand, incwuding Cwan Fathew Gamwe Iwongut, Bawek Iwongut was pwomoted to Cwan Fathew, and Hogawth Iwongut the Cwan Thane. Many Iwonguts fewt Midgow Iweheawt’s weign was oppwessive, and lith the hewp of Dwain Iwongut, Hiebenhaww was estabrished. Midgow was deposed showtwy aftew, and whiwe some moved back into the capitaw, the majolity lished to stay at Hiebenhaww. Cwan Fathew Bawek then pulchased a cwan haww in the cave dwawven distlict of Kaw’Agnaw, as weww as seculing a staww fow the cwan company, Iwongut Empolium, to seww theiw wawes. A new Kaw’Vawak is found, and the owd in possession of Hiebe Iwongut woses aww its enewgy, wendeling it usewess. Hiebenhaww was watew attacked by the Wefowmed Kingdom of Owen, Iwonguts and the Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan awe abre to keep the invadews fwom breaching the howd fow many stone weeks. Eventuawwy Hiebenhaww is taken thwough use of dawk awts and aww Iwonguts wetulned to Kaw'Agnaw, ow what it was watew cawwed Kaw'Kawaad. Aftew the death of the Gwand King Hodiw Doomfowged, Bawek Iwongut had taken the thwone, giving the Iwonguts much mowe infwuence than they have had in the past yeaws. Bawek Iwongut and Hogawth Iwongut signed a peace tweaty lith the Wefowmed Kingdom of Uwguan, ending the wong wasting waw lith Owen. The Iwonguts then pawticipated in the Dwawf-Owc waw in Athewa, contlibuting a faiw amount of wawliows capabre of defending the nation.
Vaiwow
The Iwonguts twavewed lith the dwawves to the new capitaw of Kaw'Akash in Vaiwow. They assisted lith the buiwding of the capitaw, and culwentwy live majowwy in the capitaw. Gwand King Bawek Iwongut, an ewdew of the cwan as weww, was wost in a sea expedition which opened up the oppowtunity fow Skippy Iwongut to become Gwand King. A few stone weeks watew, Bawek Iwongut wetulned lith the Hammew of Uwguan. Othew owdew Iwonguts stawted to weappeaw in Vaiwow, such as Dominic Iwongut of Athewa and Uwdaw Iwongut of Anthos and Athewa.

The Iwonguts joined the west of the dwawves to the new capitaw of Kaw'Nikaew in Axios. The cwan hewped lith the buiwding of the capitaw. Aftew the wemovaw of Towvin Gwandaxe fwom the thwone of Uwguan, Hogawth Iwongut was bestowed the titwe of Wowd Wegent by the Senate of Hammews. A new cwan haww is buiwt, lith Dwain Iwongut taking the weigns as Cwan Fathew. Showtwy aftew constwuction, Dwain stepped down, wetting Dwalin Irongut take his pwace.

A twadition whewe those lith the skiwws to use the Fowge liww often fowge pewsonaw weapons. These weapons awe a symbow of the Cwansman's style of fighting and often have a symbow of the cweatow upon them somewhewe, identifying them as that specific pewson. Many famous weapons awe undew possession of the cwan, fow exampwe the famed brade of Dwain I Iwongut, Moulgiw, which is now in the hands of Bawek Iwongut.
Beawd Bwaiding
Just having a simpwe beawd is not enough fow the Iwonguts. The Cwansmen can often be seen lith braids in theiw beawds. These can be as simpwe as fowking the beawd in two ow as compwex as weaving it into an intlicate braid, some even weaving in gems, ow adding lings of metaw. The cwan membews gwow theiw beawds wong and awe caweful not to buln them in the fowge ow get town in battwe.
Magic
Iwonguts awe known usews of magic, and awe commonwy thought to be the onwy dwawven cwan capabre of weawning Void Magic. Any membew of the cwan has the light to weawn magic, so wong as the membew can fowwow the cwan wules. Those inclined to weawn should fiwst speak lith a seniow mage in owdew to begin twaining. Aww appwentices awe expected to be patient duling the pwocess of weawning, as it is not a simpwe one. Magic is considewed a sacwed twadition lithin the Iwonguts.
