The House of Manstein (Common: von Manstein; High Imperial: Mannsteni) is a noble house located in the Barony Nürnberg, in the western reaches of the County of Götha. A Waldenian House that is vassalized under House var Burgundar of White Peak.

History

The house was founded by Friederich I Von Manstein, a yeoman that lived in Hanseti. Much isn’t known of Friederich , for much of his life wasn’t recorded. His son Wilhelm I “The Landowner” Manstein purchased land in Hanseti, as he became a small merchant. Wilhelm would father three sons, Adolf, Justinian and Augustus of which both died at a young age. This left his son Adolf I “The Great” von Manstein, a man of immense military, administrative, and diplomatic competence. Adolf would raise house Manstein to the ranks of gentry. After the death of Adolf, his son Adolf II “The Foolhardy” von Manstein took the house and nearly drove it into the ground with his personal martial ambitions dissolving whatever fortune his father had previously built up.

Disowning most of his sons, Adolf would die in poor living conditions as his sons would reestablish the house. His eldest son, Adolf III “The Scholar” Manstein regarded as one of the greatest minds from the 14th century. He would act as an advisor to house Fournier, which was a notable noble family in Savoy. Until eventually establishing the Barony of Vallette under Guy de Bar. Adolf would also become the Lord Bailiff of Norfolk, because of his lack of a wife he would die without an heir. His youngest brother Harald, the only brother not to be disowned would take the Barony of Vallette. During the Horen Restoration, house Manstein supported Guy de Bar and after his assassination, they were stripped of their titles. Harald would live the rest of his days in exile. His great-grandson, Friederich von Manstein moved to white peak becoming an advisor to Count Eimar of house Burgundar. Friederich would eventually be appointed the Barony of Nürnberg, a castle located down the road from White Peak. Frederich is the current head of house Manstein and Feldtmarskalk of the State Army of Ostmark.
