House of Dracontas

Introduction
A noble family founded in the Empire of Akritos by Varangian Guard Commander Dionisius Dracontas The First; first Commander of the Akritian Army and the founder of the Varangian Guard. After the fall of the Empire, they have moved to the North to seek a place to stay, historical archives say that they were residing in Hanseti-Ruska for a while and eventually became citizens there. The House of Dracontas is extremely devoted to the religion of The Church of Canon, as even in the old days, they kept themselves to the behavior that they should have when they are in a war and concluded as victorious. The family has gained their reputation through the war against the Turkin, as Dionisius had fought in the war and was concluded as victorious against the enemy. Dionisius eventually took the remaining Turkin with him and allowed them to live in the small province that he owned.
When the Barony of Trabzon was built, they decided to move there in order to reunite with their lost Akritian brothers and sisters rather than adapting to the culture of someone else. Georgios Dracontas, son of Dionisius Dracontas VIII was put in Command of the Varangian Guard. The House is of noble Akritian origin and their ancestry has quite a lot of important figures of the Akritian history. The family became good friends with the House Of Komnenos-Arianites, the descendants of the Akritian King Justinian Komnenos, the House of Dracontas have pledged loyalty to the family and protection of the property they uphold.
Barony of Trabzon
The House now resides in the Barony of Trabzon, in the far distant lands of the Kharasi desert, where the remaining Akritians have built a barony for their people to live and prosper. The House has gained an honorable reputation due to the rank they uphold, the Commander of the Varangian Guard. The House of Dracontas shares great pride in their status.
Family-Relations
The family is related to many other Akritian families; for example, the noble family of Palaiologos through an arranged marriage to create a bond within the royal household, they are also far descendants of Justinian Komnenos, the first King of Akritos. In the present day family, the last two generations are still alive, Dionisius Dracontas VIII and Georgios Dracontas VI are now located in the Barony of Trabzon. These noble families would often have family members as candidates for arranged marriages to expand family bloodlines.
