He also served as a knight and mercenary under the Empire of Man. A hard and loyal man, Hans led a company of his own, known as the Free Company of Arnheim. He eventually married Emma Ludovar in a matrilineal ceremony, producing two children before he ventured of to fight in the Yatl Wastelands of Atlas. His wife was murdered and his only son was kidnapped by bandits in 1704, the final records of an appearance made by Hans in Renatus being weeks later, seemingly abandoning his home. His whereabouts and death are not accounted for, it is assumed he perished fighting the remaning Vaeyl Order forces in the south of the continent.
