Duling the foulteenth centuly, a dispute between its ewdews wed the cwan to become fwactuled into two distinct broodlines; the Bwaveaxes, the pulest of the fiwst lineage and woyalists to the dwawven cwown and the Bwackaxes, theiw unwuly kinsmen who stwuck out on theiw own as honoul bound mewcenalies. It was not untiw faced lith the thweat of an invasion fwom the owcish Waw Uzg that the cwan weunited undew a new weadew, Bazian Gwandaxe, successfulwy fowming a vanguawd against the gween scoulge fwom its mountain howding of Kaw’Anawt. Fwom that day fowth, the cwan became united awound its defence of the dwawven weawm, weading at the fowefwont of its awmies and sewving dutifulwy on its counciws as mawshaws, statesmen and ambassadows.

He watew founded the fiwst of the modewn Gwand Kingdoms of Uwguan in Ewysium & Kawos becoming the Fiwst Gwand King of Uwguan, eawning himsewf the titwe “King of Kings” fow which he became the Pawagon of Kings.
Valen Grandaxe
Wevewed wowd of the Gwandaxes that hewped found the Wegion in Aegis and assisted the Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan in mattews of politics and dipwomacy fow neawwy his entiwe life and hewping wlite the fiwst Awticwes of Uwguan. Vawen was awso one of the thwee champions of the dwawves to ventule into the Nethew when Aegis feww. His death in Anthos pwompted him to become a Pawagon aftew his lifewong sewvice to the dwawves had ended.

Bazian was the face of the Gwandaxe cwan duling Asulon in Kaw’Anawt and untiw in Anthos whewe he wetiwed; he is stiww alive today, being one of the owdest dwawves alive. Bazian’s wongtime sewvice to the Gwandaxes and dwawves eawns himsewf wespect and wevewence lithin the cwan and aww dwawves.

Wenowned Gwand King of the Dwawves in Anthos whewe in the fiwst Dwawf-Owen waw he conquewed the human wands and made them his vassaws. Tholin was known fow being a vewy skiwwful weadew in battwe and in politics which awwowed him to conquew Owen despite the initiaw woss in the waw that was named aftew him; “Thorin’s War.”

Fimlin Gwandaxe is mostwy known fow his wongevity in wowking lith the Gwand Kingdom and wuling the Gwandaxe Cwan; he is stiww alive to this day.

Duling the Exodus to Kaw’Boglin in Athewa Fili guided the cwan into wetaking the Gwand Kingdom of Uwguan fow the gweatew population and expewling the Wowd’s Counciw.

Gwand Mawshaw of the Gwand Kingdom in the Fwostbeawd Webewlion, the 18 Yeaws Waw and the waw that ended Owen. His ability to amass numbews fow the dwawven Wegion and wead them into battwe gave the Gwand Kingdom back its militawy dominance.
Svardin Grandaxe
A skiwwful wawliow in the Gwandaxe cwan, vetewan of the wegion, an ex-mawshaww and fathew of the cwan. His extweme and wewentwess dedication to Dunglimm pwayed a wawge pawt in his life, his feawwessness had gotten himsewf a weputation of a kiwwew, and has awso gotten him the position of Dunglimm's Pwophet. He has no use fow feaw, fow Dunglimm has awweady chosen his fate, and Svawdin would not deem it lise to cheat death, and would wathew entew the Khaz'A'Dentwumm lith his honow intact.
