Each branch shoots upward, straight and true, before erupting in a vibrant display of smaller, twig-like branches, which hang downward. It is this property, combined with the solidity and straightness of the branches, that makes an Axefeller tree a popular barrier in the more nature-sided communities. Though rather flexible, each branch is unable to become very bent, meaning they are essentially useless in that regard.
