Dumac Irongrinder, or Dumac "Sunforged" is the Forgelord of Akueli, and a member of Clan Irongrinder. He is a great smith, and works the Foundry of Creation, a massive forge in Akueli. His years as a beardling were different than most dwarves, being raised in solitude in the mountains.

History

Beardling years

Dumac was born in the snowy mountains of the North to a smith and a scholar. He would have a youth of solitude, not interacting with a lot of people, save for his parents and a traveler or two. When he was around forty four, his father passed away due to an ailment, and his mother went mad. He left his parent's home for the Grand Kingdom, and he eventually joined the Irongrinders.

Dumac quickly took to the craft of smithing, and was able to forge a fine battleaxe for the trial of creation. He later on claimed a home in the Freeport, and quickly rose up to become the Forgelord of the Foundry of Creation. He then learned how to forge armor at Akueli, and would look for someone to teach him how to forge the other metals. He would also lose his right arm, but he eventually got that replaced with a blackstone golem one.

He used his new knowledge for the trial of knowledge, and passed that one too. But for the trial of courage, he hunted a lion near Akueli. After felling the beast, Dumac would use its pelt with two longswords, one for the First Prince Torsun Goldhand and one for himself. After his hunt, Torsun named him the Forgelord of Akueli after seeing his work, and gave him the moniker, "Sunforged". He then ran for clan Thane, and would have to venture into the deeproads with the things he could carry, with his opponent. Dumac succeeded the Deeproads, and came out alive, thus being named Thane by Darek Irongrinder. During his time in the caverns, he would make several notes in his journal.
