Culture, Society, & Government
Arlestair's society and Law Code is founded on the principles of Tradition, Chivalry, and Cooperation. Each citizen is valued for their virtute and merit, though only those of exceptionally high cotribution are recognized and given earned honors.
Arlesan Council
The Crown-Appointed Privacta council of Arlestair is the collection of leaders from each major sector of administration in the realm. As a group, they make the final, most important decisions for how the polity & its people will progress in their duties.

Military
The Military of Arlestair is led by it's Lord Marshal and directed by the Duke. It currently employs no ranking system.
Succession
The succession of Arlestair is alike to any other Feudal society, that being Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture, with bastards absolutely barred from inheritance.
History
Reclamation of Vasiyeva
The Grand Duchy of Vasiyeva laid in a state of disrepair for near many decades towards the end of their early foundational history. Some many decades after the fall and destruction of the Grand Duchy of Vasiyeva, Garedyn the Green, Grand Steward of Urguan, began seeking out independant groups of affluence to settle their vacated vassal lands, sparked by the migration of the Principality of Sedan to their own soverign lands.
Merits & Marriage
Having been known for their longstanding prowess in the economic activities of western Almaris, August II Bishop was high on the list of Garedyn's potential. Seraphina Darkwood was famous in the south for her excellent skill as an organizer of fesivity and cultural events. Their Marriage to eachother (year unknown) allied the Houses of Bishop and Darkwood, and Garedyn's offer of Ducal lands for them to rule was sent soon after.
The Opening Doom
The first and most important goal of the Duchy was to fully reclaim its capital city and open it to the public. However, just before the final touches of the palace were being put into place, a terrible and total scourge disrupted the environment and cursed the land upon the capital to toxic blight and permanent darkness, depleting any natural color from it. During this time, the couple focused their attention on the development of their other holdings within the territory. Politics and circumstance had also brought 2 new vassals under the new Duke, bringing more population and tax revenue to the realm of Urguan.
