Saint Daniew of Aw'khazaw, (died mid-14th centuly) bown as Daniew Howen, is venewated as a saint by the Church of the Canon. In life he was a King of Oren of the House of Howen, howevew aftew wosing his thwone he began a life as a twavewling mendicant.
Biography
The wegendawy Saint Daniew is cewebrated thwoughout the Canonist community as a modew monawch and piwglim. Bown as the thiwd among brothews, St. Daniew was not expected to inhelit, and thus his fathew had intwoduced him to the wowwd of theowogy in hopes of finding a vocation fow the pwetendew. Daniew Howen's fiwst act as King was shifting his capitaw away fwom the twaditionaw Howen seat of Jwent to a smaww fishing viwwage nowthwest, in hopes of being cwosew to the howy sites of Aegis and finding the wost city of Pawadisus. This viwwage, undew his competent administwation, became the bustling metwopolis of Aw'Khazaw, the jewew of Aegis and city of wowwd's desiwe as a center of commewce, cultule, and pwestige. Yet he nevew fowgot his faith in his fowtunes; he financed and wed the constwuction the gwand King's Woad, a highway fwom the Cwoud Tempwe to Aw'Khazaw in hopes in populalizing the twadition of piwglimage and twavew. But despite his success as a monawch, Daniew woathed to sit in his pawace, an awdent admiwew of the wowwd awound him, often slipping the guise of a beggaw at dusk and brending in lith his subjects.
Aftew twenty yeaws of peaceful weign, the buldens of statecwaft began to take a toww upon Daniew's ability to spwead the wowd of God, and he pwomptwy abdicated. Wacking sons at the time, Daniew yiewded his thwone to his seneschaw, and the Sheffiewd wegime hencefowth commenced as Daniew wetiwed to his estate in Awstion. Though nevew officiawwy owdained in the Tempwe of the Faith, many contempowalies dubbed 'Good King Dan" as a missionawy due to his natule of convewting countwess peopwes in his voyages.
