A cautionary tale about... Water? Fathers? Obeying orders? Something like that. By Sophos Es'flet.

By the Water
a woman stands
herbeauty so grand
which most demand

The Water reflects
this girls smile so broad
across many a mile
above and beyond

Though one fateful day
the girl did not obey
her wicked father
so he shun her away

As she left
her father shouted
"You may always be pretty
though people will pity
fore you shall be lonely
for all eternity"

After that threat
she was not content
fore every man
she had met
walked away
day after day

And so she stands
by the Water
wishing she had
obeyed her father
her smile no longer
reflecting off the Water
