Benda Chivay (10th of the Amber Cold, 1452 – unknown) was a head of House Chivay and Governor of Agathor in Aeldin. Curiously, he appears to take an interest in the affairs of the distant Holy Orenian Empire, offering John I refuge in his palace through a portion of the future emperor's childhood.
The governor's detractors accuse him of sorcery and witchcraft, as he is apparently ageless, having ruled the province of Agathor for over a century, witnessing the rise and fall of over eight different emperors. He is infamous for his persecution of magicians, dissidents and nonhumans.
