There was general outrage among the Romstun court; many cried for retaliation. Lord Deano Romstun dispatched a force immediately to enact justice upon the murderer of Carolus. The Romstun force stormed the Imperial capital and slew the Archchancellor who had given the order for the murder.

Though throughout his early years he grew to be a cunning man, he is lavish through the desire to gain good report, he is an unbridled man brash and blunt of speech a warrior at heart, he does not like courtly functions or courtiers, he enjoys hawking and is delighted in the pleasures of good horsemanship and of all the weapons and garb of war.
