"Inspirational quote about the family from a Celianorian monarch about the family that makes for a good summarry and introduction"

- Insert Prince(ss) here

Etymology

Amethil is suspected to be derived from the words ame (forest) and thilln (silver), as such meaning "Silver Forest" in ancient elven. Yet the name was given to the family by its first Patriach, Lefkos Amethil, several centuries ago. He has since forgotten the reason as for why the family bears such name.

Physical Traits and Appearance

Due to being both 'thill and 'fenn descent, the Amethil usually are paler than the rest of of High Elves. Especially their Atmorice side of the family often results in purple eyes, while their typically blond hair is more of a trait inherited from the 'thill side.

Personality and Beliefs

The Amethils are craftsmen, artisans and mages to the core. Few have been seen who are no voidal mages. The younger generation since Raziel Amethil has been deeply influence by Celia'nor and its belief-systems, often adapting their militaristic culture.

History

Origins

The first Patriach of the Amethil, Lefkos Amethil was a wandered mage and craftsman. He was born in Axios, where he gained prominence as a mage in different realms and nations. He gained fame largely amongst Sutica and Haelun'or, but also as a leader of the Order of the Golden Lion. Lefkos however was ejected from the order and later married Arwen Atmorice, with whom he had three children: Raziel, Aeryes and a daughter who disappeared after her birth.

In a fateful meeting, Raziel Amethil ran into Ivarielle Ibarellan, leader of the monarchist within Haelun'or during the time of the Aheralic War. Raziel soon came to befriend Ivarielle Ibarellan, swearing loyality to her as young as six years old. The Princess would later become his mentor and invite him to follow her to the state she founded, Celia'nor.

In Celia'nor

Raziel rose through the ranks within Celia'nor, first throught the army and later as a council in differing positions such as Lord of the People or Lord Sorcerer. It was there when the family began to grow numerous; Hiliea, Cruan and Arakiella were born. Until the great catastrophe, a voidal tear that erupted within Celia'nors capital, followed by the invasion of the Mori forces, their lives were easy inside Celia'nor. Even worse came to be: The state they so loved was dissolved under false promises and deception and Celia'nor was no more for fourteen years. Its sucessor-state, Talar'nor, never succeeded nor saw the Amethils take roots there properly and they wandered. On an occasional visit in Talar'nor Raziel met an old friend of his; Thelia. They talked lengthy of the state of Talar'nor and their nostalgia for Celia'nor.

And in the end, Thelia and Raziel decided to make their nostalgia come true in the form of the Starlight Winery. Originally only a singular building in Lurin, the winery grew into a village within a month. Thelia and Raziel had sent letters to all Celianorian families they had known and many answered. Thus they named themselves The Protectorate of Celia'lin, the remnants of Celia'nor. In the end, Illyria Ibarellan, rightful heir to Celia'nor returned and was appointed leader by Raziel. Within a few years, the small land Lurin had given them could no longer hold the Celian people and they established their own realm once more, naming it the Second Principality of Celia'nor. The winery was lost, yet they cared not: For they won a greater price - the restoration of their homeland.
