Amelie of Courland (3rd of Malin's Welcome, 1529 – 10th of the Amber Cold, 1547), born Amelie Staunton, was very briefly the Empress-consort as the spouse of John II, Holy Orenian Emperor, from his accession to the throne in 1547 to her sudden death almost two months later in the same year. She was her husband's first wife, who had been wed to him in a marriage arranged by their fathers.
Her sudden demise at a young age was ostensibly brought about by apoplexy, however many factions at court suspected foul play. She died childless.
