The Principality of Aegrothond, otherwise known as the Kingdom of Aegrothond is one of the Elven settlements currently residing on the southern shores of Arcas. It is home to the Almenodrim, a culture of Elves whose history may be traced back to Old Malinor. Founded in late Atlas by High Prince Belestram Sylvaeri and wife Illynora Sylvaeri. It is currently ruled by Fëanor Sylvaeri, Belestram's heir and current Sea Prince of Aegrothond.

Aegrothond is situated along the south-western coast of Arcas's main continent. It occupies the southern strait, naturally barring entry into the western bay of Arcas (which extends to the south of the Under-Realm of Urguan). Its lands are composed of a dark oaken forest to the north. Its main citadel is surrounded by a river, leading out into its southern bay and archipelago - referred to as the Isles of Almenor. Travel by ship is often utilized in these waters, which are notably lined with coral reefs and forests of kelp.

To the west of Aegrothond lies the Independent Settlement of Brandybrook, home of the Halflings.

Aegrothond's lands notably possess the only land-bridge which leads into the southern, large isle of Korvassa.
