Adrian Chivay (23rd of the Deep Cold, 1460 – 4th of the Amber Cold, 1537), known clerically as Adrian of Kaedrin, was Archbishop of Courland and later Vice-Chancellor under his close companion and compatriot, Everard II. Adrian was most prominent as a critic against Emperor John's absolutism, despite Everard II's leading role in having him take the throne, and called for numerous powers and rights to be returned to the Church of the Canon, including the arcane right to total immunity for priests from secular prosecution. He was killed alongside his patron Everard by a pair of monks in the streets of Felsen, in protest against the incumbent pontiff's policies.
