The Siege of Mynebor was the first and last major engagement of the Urguan-Mynbeor War. It saw the armies of the Under-Realm of Urguan lay siege to the capital of the Kingdom of Mynebor in an attempt to capture King Balrog Ironkiln II and to capitulate the Wildlands kingdom.
Prelude
Prior to the battle, the Kingdom of Mynebor and Under-Realm of Urguan had engaged in diplomatic aggressions towards each other, with the Urguani issuing several warnings to the Myneborian dwarves to convert from worshipping a religion which the Urguani dwarves saw as heretical. After a supposed attempt on the life of the Under-King by King Balrog of Mynebor himself, the Under-Realm issued an official ultimatum against Mynebor, which they ultimately refused. After the refusal, Urguan issued a declaration of war and summoned a war council to prepare an invasion of Myneborian lands. Due to the Kingdom of Mynebor being located in the Wildlands of Arcas, careful planning was needed on the Urguani side in order to make sure an invasion route would be secure. On the Myneborian perspective, King Balrog began to mass recruit for Mynebor's army. He reached out to several Urguani exiles and even tried to hire mercenary companies, though did not have enough mina to pay said mercenaries. By the end of it, Mynebor was able to boost their numbers to nearly 2,000 soldiers. However, it was barely half of the Urguani legion of 6,000+ legionaries.
Battle
The battle began when the Urguani legion marched towards the Myneborian capital of Kaz'Stailininn. Being aware of the Urguani approach, King Balrog had a giant citadel, called the 'chandelier' by Urguani forces, constructed and attached to the top of the Kaz'Stailininn cave city. The Urguani Legion, rather than charge through the gates of the city, used one of the many abandoned cave entrances to sneak through the city. The Myneborian defenders had already prepared for this, and had their entire 1,900 dwarf garrison moved to the citadel. The Myneborians immediately opened fire upon the Urguani legion, causing some Urguani to fall into the deep pits inside the Myneborian city after being struck. The Urguani Legion returned fire, picking off a handful of the Myneborian defenders with their arrows. W.I.P
