Early Life
Cressida Marie Novellen-Aldersberg was born on the 14th of Sigismund's End to the Lord Arthur Marie Aldersberg and his wife Lady Nastasiya vas Ruthern and a mere 6 years later did her Brother George follow, 6 months after a hereditary illness had claimed her fathers life. This is when Cressida's passion for medicine began to spark, The young child often spent her early years by her fathers side. Often did she sit and watch the physicians care for the sickly lord until he eventually did pass. Amongst her many cousins, she stuck out like a sore thumb, being a pale blonde surrounded by the dark-haired Rutherns.
As a child, Cressida was not much of a social girl. Instead of playing around with the other children, she would rather stay couped up in her room surrounded by many books. Her mother was an ambitious warrior and did not really have time to care for the young girl, although reportedly, Cressida did not mind much as she would much rather have her time spent on her studies. Cressida enjoyed being tutored and amongst the other children was a much better student, being a curious child always ready to learn, which led her to excel in her studies though this would cause her to become rather snobby and not understand how to communicate with others.
After years of neglect from her mother, her paternal Aunt, Austina of Aldersberg, would summon the young Aldersberg to come to the court of Castle Saint Emalyne for the rest of her adolescence.
