The Battle of Ironguard, also called the Raid on Ironguard, was the opening battle of the Skanarri War between the forces of the Skanarri tribesmen and the Kingdom of Norland. The Skanarri defeat in the raid led to the discovering of a nearby Skanarri encampment and the swift capture of the religious figurehead only known as 'The Blind Priestess'.
Prelude
At the end of the War of the Three Kingdoms, The Skanarri tribes began to increase raids into the Kingdom of Norland. The Norlandic defeat in the previous conflict led the Skanarri leadership to believe that Norland was weak, and that now was the perfect time to strike at the Kingdom in order to establish their presence in the Northern theatre of Nyrheim. As a result, High Chieftain Argos selected his ally Sigrid 'The Bloody' to lead a series of raids into the southern part of Norland in order to hopefully draw the Norlandic forces into open battle. Within less than a few Stone Months, Sigrid had established a small Skanarri camp near the keep of Clan O'Hara, known as Ironguard.

Aftermath
Immediately following the retreat of the surviving Skanarri forces, the Northguard pushed onwards and managed to discover the camp that Sigrid had built earlier. Inside was only one woman who refused to identify herself, then being dubbed 'The Blind Priestess' due to her wearing a headband that covered her eyes. Little did the Norlanders know at the time that this Priestess held great religious significance to the Skanarri, which would ultimately lead to the later Battle of Elysium.
