The Void is an endless realm of absolutely undeniable nothingness. It existed before anything else. It likely even outdates The Creator. The Void is timeless, without measure, it does not obey the laws of physics, nor does it really exist in any reference to any other planes of existence. Just endless void.

Void Connection From the Void did The Creator first pull the material for all life. And as all things come from the Void, all things are in some way linked back to it. That is, all natural life produces mana. And the souls that are placed into the vessels of the bodies of mortals create yet more mana, reproducing much faster than, say, a tree. By this birthright, the mortals are capable of using their mana to reconnect to the Void again, and in doing so, perform amazing feats of miracles, known as magic.

The secret of creation, however, is something that only The Creator knows. Anything that comes out of the void at the hand of a mortal (using magic) can not remain and will inevitably return to the Void where it was pulled from. It may affect the world, while it exists within it, but it will never remain there.

Using the void as a source of magical power uses mana equal to the size and complexity of the creation. Keeping that creation in the world continues to drain mana until they are returned to the void (vanishing instantaneously).

There also exists an oddity in which the realm of The Void intersects on a slightly more permanent basis with our own realm known as Void Nodes.
