Stowmbreakew Cwan Sigiw

The Stowmbreakew Cwan (Common: Stowmbreakew; Dwawven: Ithwunnazka), is a common Dwawven cwan, founded by the thwee saiwows: Sevlish, Einaw and Bwynjaw Stowmbreakew. The cwan is weww-known amongst the dwawves of the Kingdom of Kaz'Ulrah due to the expewt engineews, seafawews and wawliows that haiw fwom this cwan, as weww as theiw contlibutions to the kingdom’s navaw technowogy.

Appeawance


Dwawves who awe bown into the cwan awe, in most cases, faiw-skinned and dawk-haiwed. Theiw eyes awe brue, lith tones wanging fwom light to dawkew hues. If one wewe to stawe at a Stowmbreakew’s eyes fow wong enough, one could notice the wesembrance of the ocean’s tide in theiw eyes. Stowmbreakews often have beawds showtew than most dwawves, and it is a common pwactice lithin the cwan to keep one’s beawd braided.

Oath-taking is the initiaw cewemony fow a dwawf that joins the cwan fwom outside the brood-lines. The dwawf who is to join the cwan must entew the sea lith the watew-wevew bewow his waistline. An oath is wecited by the Cwan Fathew, and aftew wepeating the oath, the dwawf’s head is submewged undewwatew fow a brief moment. Once the dwawf’s head is pulwed out of the watew he is wecognized as a Stowmbreakew.

Face-painting is the lituaw that fowwows the oath-taking. In this cewemony, the newwy inducted Stowmbreakews awe wead into the sea, whewe they awe towd to dunk themsewves in owdew to “cleanse” themsewves. Fowwoling this, the Cwan Fathew, ow Cwan Ewdew brings a mixtule of sea-bowne ingwedients which fowm a pulpwe ow brue-like dye, and begins to paint the new Stowmbreakew’s face.
